Self-Sabotage and the Subconscious Mind
Success is the natural movement of every living being. Trees work to succeed to rise up into the sunlight, animals work to thrive within their environment, and people want all of the very best that life has to offer. There would appear to be a very primitive urge to live up to oneโs full potential regardless of what form of life we are experiencing. Everything in nature does its very best to survive and to thrive, and in the human being we have a part of our mind that can seem to go against this very primal desire to live fully and completely. Can hypnotherapy shed light on this? More importantly, can we do something about it?
Am I my own worst enemy?
Everyone who has set goals has had the experience of not reaching them. It is natural to try, to not succeed and then to try and try again, yet what if past childhood programming is getting in the way of our conscious mindโs highest intentions? The model of hypnotherapy and what we find in hypnosis certification training with our students is that there is indeed a set of negative beliefs and emotions, which creates an internal self-image, that lowers our self-esteem, and which does not match up with who we would like to be in life. This inner conflict between subconscious programming and conscious intention can be a cause of tremendous distress.
We never live beyond our self-image
The subconscious mind will always pull us back into our comfort zone. It will always work to fulfill its idea of who we are, even if that idea is not to our greatest benefit. If the deep inner mind believes that we are worthless, useless and lacking, then our attempts to be worthwhile, important, valuable and prosperous can easily be sabotaged. We are essentially already programmed to fail despite our highest intentions. The simple model of hypnotherapy training is that you will never live outside of your internal self-image for very long.
Getting free through hypnosis and hypnotherapy certification
Whether it is through private hypnotherapy sessions and/or training in hypnosis and hypnotherapy, we can transform our old limiting beliefs into a powerhouse of high self-esteem. Old emotions, such as fear and guilt, can be transformed into confidence and self-love. These shifts might seem minor, yet they can literally be the difference between success and failure.
