About International Association of Interpersonal Hypnotherapists (IAIH) Certification
The International Association of Interpersonal Hypnotherapists (IAIH) requires a written and practical skills exam to be taken to qualify to become a Certified Hypnotherapist, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Certified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist.
Most students take the IAIH Oral Regression exam the first day of the Transpersonal Hypnotherapist Practicals. If a student wishes, these exams can be taken at the end of the Hypnotherapist training, however, most students feel much more comfortable having the extra time before taking the Oral exam. As such, we recommend that instead of taking the exams at the end of 300 hours of training, students wait until their assigned exam dates at the end of almost 500 hours of training. Those wishing to take the exam at the end of 300 hours or before their assigned day should contact the IIH Student Services Director.
Upon successful completion of the written and practical skills (oral) exams, students will be eligible to certify with the IAIH by going to https://www.interpersonalhypnotherapy.com/new-members Students will need to fill out the application form found there and follow the subsequent instructions for payment of $125 for two years of certification as a Certified Hypnotherapist. Students continuing on to complete IIHโs Clinical Hypnotherapist and Transpersonal Hypnotherapy programs will be able to apply for IAIH certification for these trainings as well, which require an additional $25 per certification per two years, totaling $175 for all three IAIH Certificates. Certificates are valid for two(2) years.
Every two years 30 Continuing Education hours are required (along with $125 to renew oneโs Hypnotherapist certification, plus $25 for each additional Certification). Most students receive their certifications with their IIH diplomas after the end of IIHโs Transpersonal Hypnotherapy Program.
Aside from your IAIH certifications, IIH offers stateยญ licensed diplomas for Certified Hypnotherapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Transpersonal Hypnotherapist. You are entitled to these diplomas at the end of each Program, therefore if you wish to receive your certifications for Certified Hypnotherapist and/or Clinical Hypnotherapist before your graduation date, please contact the IIH Student Services Director.
