Hypnotherapy Training During COVID-19
With the number of cases of COVID-19 still rising in the United States we all have to be more cautious than ever to be safe and not to spread the virus, and yet those of us who are called to the fields of Hypnotherapy and Hypnotherapy Training cannot stop healing the world in our own unique way.
More and more Hypnotherapy sessions are being done on Zoom and the feedback that we’ve heard so far is that these sessions are still excellent with no real value lost. At our school, we continue to train students where 70% of the training is done online and where 30% done “in-house.” We put those practical hours on pause to be sure to keep our students and staff safe and now plans are in place to being practical hours again in the Fall in large hotel conference rooms to ensure that we follow CDC guidelines and can adequately social distance.

At the IAIH we are working to create new Informed Consent forms for your clients to help to everyone to understand the risks of in-person sessions and to ideally work to limit the liability of the practicing Hypnotherapist. We encourage online sessions for now and we have only seen that good has come out of this. Practitioners are still required to abide by their State’s respective Hypnotherapy laws and to have clients fill out IAIH Client Participation Agreements and Disclosure Forms.
Our online Hypnotherapy Trainings have continued on without any interruption of service to our students, and we continue to adapt to offer our in-house practical hours. In the Fall, we will begin practical hour trainings again with ample social distancing in large spaces. It remains our commitment to graduate our current student body safely and in a timely manner.
