The secrets to success are not necessarily found outside of ourselves. We look for the new book, the new teaching, or the new fad that tells us how we can be evermore successful, yet what if the secret is found directly within our very own selves? Hypnosis training places a strong focus on raising self-esteem to allow the factors for success to come from within. When we truly believe in ourselves and feel confident in our abilities, then somehow life seems to respond accordingly.
What is High Self-Esteem?
In our Hypnosis Certification Courses, we focus a lot on raising self-esteem and define it as how highly a person regards themselves. Everyone has self-esteem, the question is, is it high or low? Low self-esteem is to regard yourself in a negative and judgmental way that tells you things like, you are not good enough, not smart enough, not attractive enough, etc. Whereas, high self-esteem reflects an inner view of yourself as capable, confident, more than good enough, and self-assured to easily reach you goals. As you can imagine, the difference between the two versions can make or break your chances of a happy and successful life.

What Can I do Now to Raise my Own Self-Esteem?
Our emotions fuel our thinking and in hypnotherapy we consider the subconscious mind to be the root of our conscious thinking. Therefore, positive inner self talk only goes so far. We encourage you to be sure to not only watch your conscious thoughts, yet also to become more closely in touch with your emotions. When you feel bad, that is your inner being’s way of telling you that some part of your mind is in low self-esteem mode. Negative feelings show us a subconscious part of the mind that has a low evaluation of yourself. Through our training, you learn to keep your heart open, to transform your feelings, and to notice direct results in your thinking which occur virtually automatically. For now, we encourage that the heart is kept open to feel, that feelings are acknowledged and validated, and that we relax and breathe into our emotions. When the heart is open and negative emotion clears, then positive inner self-talk is so much easier and so much more effective. Learning about your subconscious, feeling mind in relationship to self-esteem is a great way to start.
