Why Choose an IAIH Certified Interpersonal Hypnotherapist?

IAIH Clinicians are graduates in good standing from the Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy.  They have State-Licensed Diplomas, require ongoing Continuing Education Hours, sign our Code of Ethics, must be HIPAA certified to protect your privacy, and they must meet our high standards of professionalism and competency.  We take great pride in creating exceptional Hypnotherapists, as they are a reflection of our Institute and our Association.

What is HIPAA and why is it Important to you?

According to the CDC, “The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is a federal law that required the creation of national standards to protect sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without the patient’s consent or knowledge. The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued the HIPAA Privacy Rule to implement the requirements of HIPAA. The HIPAA Security Rule protects a subset of information covered by the Privacy Rule.”

PHI is Private Health Information and only your HIPAA Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist will ever know about your private information.  The Institute and our Association staff, nor anyone else, will ever know anything personal about you.  We want you to be treated just as we want to be treated and we respect your privacy above all else.  Besides, it’s the law.

What happens during an online IAIH Approved Hypnotherapy Session?

When you submit your nickname, phone number and email address, then our Clinic Manager pairs you up with an IAIH Certified Hypnotherapist.  Your Hypnotherapist will reach out to you personally to set up a Free Online Video Consultation where there is no risk to you.  If you decide not to work with that practitioner then you are not charged anything and we can always work to find someone else for you from our extensive list of practitioners. Once you decide to do a session, then you will discuss your issue more in depth and multiple strategies will be presented for how to help you to reach your goals.  Sessions are usually two hours long to ensure that you have ample time to be heard and to experience the results you are looking for.

What if I have a medical, dental or mental health condition?

All IAIH practitioners are required to operate within all Federal, State, County and City laws.  Many US states do not have hypnosis laws, yet we abide by the highest standards of practice where any medical, dental or mental health condition will require a referral, prescription, supervision or direction from the appropriate licensed practitioner of the healing arts.  This means that if you have a medical condition then we will require a referral from your physician.  If you have a mental health condition then we will require a referral from your licensed mental health care provider.  If you have a dental condition then we will require a referral from your dentist.  Your IAIH practitioner can explain to you how to go about this and it should never be a reason not to engage in Hypnotherapy services.  These laws are designed to protect you and to keep Hypnotherapists operating within the scope of their credentials.
